When Mike is determined Alex is his true soul mate, he realizes he has a huge problem-he signed an iron-clad pre-nuptial agreement and his wife will not let him out of the marriage. I don't know why this movie got such poor reviews. When Mike is determined Alex is his true soul mate, he realizes he has a huge problem-he signed an iron-clad pre-nuptial agreement and his wife will not let him out of the marriage. Andrea Bowen Julie from Desperate Housewives is quite good, and Keith Robinson as Michael's best friend is probably the best in the movie. The only thing that would have made the movie better was for the wife to kick him in jewels and yell no. There are people everyday watching you and you have to think before you act and this movie teaches you to think before you act so it doesn't hurt anyone else. .
His new wife says yes. What starts to bother me is that this movie is sending the message that this is okay for a man to act like a kid on his wife money and partners trust. As surprising as this sounds, his wife even agrees with it and gives her credit card. He so decides that he wants to marry her. This is one such movie. Mike wants to be with Alex, but he signed an ironclad prenuptial agreement and cannot get a divorce.
I recommend to watch the movie. What a waste of my time that was! Initial release: November 15, 2012 Director: S. The wonderful Richard Kind has a very small but good part. I am so very appalled with the message behind this story. First of all this movie has no drama, the story just unfolds, even the part about the divorce ceremony, which could have been interesting, is just a series of shots that make little sense and lasts about 10 minutes.
He is certain that this buyer is giving him an implicit go. I find this ethically wrong on so many levels i can't hardly believe nothing has been mentioned as a thread. But, it just isn't any good. At this point, the viewer has the feeling that the wife is going to be used. When Mike is determined Alex is his true soul mate, he realizes he has a huge problem-he signed an iron-clad pre-nuptial agreement and his wife will not let him out of the marriage.
They would have taken with same actors. While his associates get none of this special holiday treatment. But She absolutely understands this and smiles her approval to his choice!! Apparently his conversion to her religion is supposedly enough to make us believe that he loves her. I just stumbled across it accidentally and couldn't believe how the story line unfolded. I thought it was very depressing and realistic. I liked Jamie-Lynn Sigler acting also. The message this is sending is that clearly no matter how wrong a man does, he will get to have a wife or a girlfriend to support and trust him.
Jonathan Bennett, Nadia Bjorlin acted very well. He certainly makes a lot of mistakes but in all honesty anyone would struggle in the situations he was in. And again, just like that, he wants a divorce. Unfortunately she says yes, totally destroying the movie. Yet it is implied in the movie through his best friend's speech, that parts of him is interested by just more than his love for her. Nevertheless he signs a pre-nuptial agreement.
So this is the story of a guy who says he is in love with his girlfriend. If i could give this a Zero, i would but i can't. She still likes him, he still likes her. His new to be wife has grand parents who owns a very successful family restaurant. Unfortunately this rich buyer is going on a golf holiday for 10 days so she can't sign the deal until she returns. I should mention Jamie-Lynn Sigler, she is very good, but her character is not likable, and the presentation she is giving early in the movie in a college lecture room is ridiculously banal.
This guy acts on a whim, leaves his pregnant wife, organizes a divorce ceremony, and then just changes him mind and proposes again?? Only thing I didn't like is the college time love story. He has the plan to franchise the family restaurant but he needs to convince a potential buyer to invest in the franchise. They look same age, not much age difference with current age but replaced with different people which I felt little weird. Description 'Divorce Invitation' centers on Mike Christian, a happily married man who runs into his high school sweetheart Alex, and after all these years, sparks still fly. The characters replaced with someone else.
