Thanks, Dan Double check your ableton preferences, you should have on the midi tab at the very top you select the control surface Maschine mk2 and its input and output as virtual mashine. Hello, I just recently stepped into the world of live and I am really inspired especially in the session view. And I have just installed all available updates for Maschine from Service Center. I have the similar problem. And the pads of controller don't light up as well.
It's not clear from the documentation which is the right one. Seems like a case of certain documentation being out of date. I've checked the mapping on control editor and it seems to be the good one. To start viewing messages, select the forum that you want to visit from the selection below. I think the best features I want are: - Pads that follow the DrumRack selection Fragmentated's Maschine 4 Live template - Pads that can have different selectable note scales for non-drumrack tracks. But my maschine still looks like this: The ableton template looks like this: I press load on the maschine when ableton live is selected but nothing happens. Thank you very much I love Maschine but I'll be completly happy when i figure the control mode out Best For you , it's working perfectly? But after this in the Input and Output menus I just don't see the option Virtual Maschine! None of the buttons on mine light up when I select the template.
Finally, I select ableton template v2 in controller but of course Ableton does not respond to any actions. You may have to before you can post: click the register link above to proceed. Then have users use Two scripts in Ableton's preferences. Throw the Mackie control knobs on a knob page with some basic button controls. Here is the link read through it before downloading just to make sure you got the latest version. Then in the midi ins and outs in the window below you should turn on tracking for the mashine input if you want to also play notes.
What are they intended for?? If someone can help for this, it would be really appreciated!!! Thanks for any tips or insights. I want to use the maschine for controlling ableton as shown in this video: You will see that the maschine is all lit up with different coloured buttons, etc. That's the new official Live template that comes included with Maschine. . Hello, I've got a similar problem. I need to re-arrange those buttons also to do the tasks I use most while using Maschine mode. Hi, I want to use my Maschine Mk.
I can open Midi mapping mode in ableton and map it manually, so I know this is a problem with the template I imported - but I don't know what I need to do to fix it. I have followed all the steps to configure Maschine Mk 2 to make it work with Ableton 9. What am I doing wrong? Eatriwaves MaschineLive template - Macro controls labelled on the Maschine knobs Fragmentated's template with Mackie control? I'm already fighting with this problem for quite a long time and this is really frustrating. I have re-done this whole process about 5 times. Yeah, the newly updated Live template that comes with Maschine 1. What I'd do is create a template much like Eatriwave's. I have downloaded and installed the latest version and it's script for Live and it is really dope! I followed youtube tutorials to the letter and it isn't working.
Much better than the factory template in terms of functionality and features. I can see that midi notes are being sent when I press the pads even though they don't light up - but I don't really care about this functionality - plus, the pads are all assigned to notes C0 - D -1, which isn't in a playable register for most instruments anyway see mapping image. Also - there are 3 templates listed in Controller Editor - see attached. Hi there, I'm new to Maschine. I mean I could control Live with Maschine Midi Mode only if I do it by myself, but the templates don't work.
Any help would be appreciated. The templates are copied into the controller editor. Someone needs to just make a triple threat script already haha. If anyone has any other suggestions or insights then please let me know. . I can't seem to get the arrow buttons in the Transport area to do anything.
The Mackie script, and the Eatriwave one. I have used the factory controller template in Maschine to work with live and its been cool, but I was wondering if you guys knew of any other templates for the Maschine controller and scripts to be able to go a little deeper with the Maschine and Live combo. Thanks, my transport controls are now working. So far, I have the control editor 1. .
