I'm very tired of Hallmark movies revolving around a fancy wedding where the focus of the movie is all about planning the perfect wedding instead of the relationship of the couple. He has a habit of hearing things people say under their breath, sometimes not so under, and he is always there to step in and catch whatever is falling or rolling toward an innocent victim. When a stray tabby cat named Ambrose shows up at his door, Zachary takes him in and slowly starts to see that a little companionship might not be so bad after all. Terrific actors who show depth of character and really become their roles. The chemistry and humor scenes shared between them is downright entertaining. Marilee, the main gal, is sweet, beautiful, and totally awkward which is so utterly endearing. I cannot wait to share it with you during the holiday season. But lest we forget the stars, I cherish the scenes in which Hallmark has inserted them. It might have been sappy, but it had cats the most important criteria and I am a hopeless romantic besides.
Since I am off until September, I am taking full advantage of my time and conducting as much research and interviewing as I can and working ahead on my content. The female lead was equal to the task and, at times, seemed to be looking more at Superman than the firefighter she was actually speaking to. I am always amazed when I see cats in movies. Alongside this crafted, Clark-Kent-esque hero, Sustad is as perfect as she ever is but, moreover, adds that needed closeness between a woman, who loves animals so much she has devoted her life to them, and Queenie, who is so very often in her mommy's arms. Hallmark has the holiday film down to an art form. She also showed great strength, something I admire.
. And the fact that this is based upon a novel generally means it is a cut above the rest. One day, a perfect little cat named Ambrose wanders into Superman's life and refuses to leave. I have watched this movie several times on Hallmark and was excited to see that I could purchase the movie for my own collection and watch it anytime. What I will say is, with the exception of the film simply not being long enough, as it is a tele-film, this one is just about the best you can find when it comes to Hallmarks line of Romantic Comedies and, if you are a cat lover, it is just candy. The expected romance ensues and the ending is sweetly predictable. Even they were fun to watch in this one.

Fortunately for all us watching, in contrast to the typical sidelining of Sustad, as a secondary character, sister or best friend, we get to see her shine as the lead. Interiors of the home were used for filming. I call that the best of both worlds. Some chemistry between the leads, but overall it's just a cute holiday film anyone can watch. I immediately noticed the firehouse, having passed by it countless times over the last year.
