The motor is about bulletproof, and they are a good handling bike. Tank has small dent on right side with paint scrape. I tried to heat bend it to shape better, but was just not quite right to kick on then. We've both ridden it about 10 minutes each. The shocking state of the fork top bolts sent mixed messages. But this time, in bright sunshine rather than freezing rain.

Rims are in good shape but does have some surface corrosion and some surface scratches. Oviously this somthing Im going to have to figure out by riding it but I dont want to brake the old girl the first day out. Will any newer model kick starts fit, say something from a newer bike, different manufacturer etc? But stiff suspension may mean less traction at other times,so careful compromise is necessary. After a little time for the fuel to get to the float bowl and a couple of preparatory kicks, it fired up and proceeded to immediately idle at about 5,000 rpm.
Pleas fill me in thanks. I put a pvl electronic ignition in the left hand primary side along with a motor sprocket change that has a chain adjuster. Check out the twinshock and video forums on here or search Youtube and see some videos of others riding twinshocks and you should get an idea of what those bikes can handle. That's the direction I'll be taking although I was hoping someone had a stronger alternative. This is a late model motor that had the ignition on the right hand side. Oil injection system works as it should. This seemed fairly unpleasant until the right fork was tapped, producing a copious rust-brown effluent. My 14 year old son and I cleaned this bike up as a winter project I've owned a successful bike repair shop for 15 years. I bought this from the original owner. Seat has no rips, cracks or defects.
